These Terms of Service govern your use of Homlii, including the Homlii mobile apps, the website and the web pages helpers use. By creating an account, joining a home or activating access as a helper, you agree to these terms.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.
1. The service
Homlii lets a household capture what needs attention with photos, video, voice and notes, uses AI to help organize it, and lets the people at home hand things over, set reminders, reply in one thread and keep finished things as the home's memory. A home can also share single things with helpers outside the family.
Homlii is under active development. Features may be added, changed or removed. Features labelled as early access or beta are provided as they are and may change or be withdrawn.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate information, including a valid email address.
- You can sign in with an email and password, or with Apple or Google. Signing in with a provider is also subject to that provider's terms.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One account works across every home you belong to.
3. Homes, people and roles
A home is where a household keeps its things, collections, reminders and moments. The person who creates a home is its owner. The owner decides who to invite and can make people organizers; ownership can be handed to someone else in the app.
Everyone in a home can see what it captures. Owners and organizers can manage people, helpers and collections, and are responsible for removing people who should no longer have access.
4. Helpers and sharing
People at home can share a single thing with a helper, such as a plumber, cleaner or babysitter. A helper gets access only after activating it through a link sent to their email, and sees only what is shared with them.
- If you share: make sure you are comfortable with the helper seeing that thing, its photos and its thread, and choose whether they may reply or add photos. You can remove a share at any time.
- If you are a helper: use what is shared with you only to help with it, do not try to see anything that was not shared with you, and respect the household's privacy. Your access ends when the share or your helper access is removed.
Helpers are not members of the home and cannot see the rest of it.
5. Your content
You and your home keep ownership of everything you put into Homlii: photos, videos, voice recordings, files and text (“your content”).
You give Homlii a limited permission to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display your content only as needed to provide, secure and improve the service. This includes sending content to our AI providers to run the AI features your home uses and showing it to the people in your home and the helpers you share it with.
You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the rights and any consents needed to capture and share it, including from people who appear in your photos, videos or recordings where the law requires it.
6. AI features
Homlii uses AI to organize what you capture, transcribe voice notes, read photos and video frames, and suggest next steps such as reminders, who could take something on or that something looks done.
- AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Check what Homlii organized, including names, dates and reminder times, before you rely on it.
- AI never changes anything by itself. A suggestion only takes effect when someone at home accepts it, and your home can turn suggestions off.
- Homlii is a household organizer. It is not a medical, safety, legal or emergency service. Don't rely on a reminder or suggestion for anything urgent or safety-critical, such as medication or a gas leak: contact the right professional or emergency service.
- AI features are subject to the monthly limit of your plan (“AI help”).
7. Reminders and notifications
Reminders and notifications depend on your device, its settings and services run by Apple, Google and others, so they may be delayed or not arrive. Homlii is a helpful nudge, not a guarantee that something will be remembered.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, or capture or share content that infringes others' rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights.
- Record people covertly or in places where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
- Use Homlii to monitor, track or control another person without their knowledge, or to harass anyone.
- Upload malware, or content that is illegal, abusive, harassing or sexually explicit, including any content that sexualizes or endangers a child.
- Try to access accounts, homes or things you are not authorized to see, or probe, scan or test the security of the service without our permission.
- Interfere with or overload the service, or use automated means to access it except through the interfaces we provide.
- Copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product.
- Send spam or unwanted invitations or shares.
We may remove content or suspend access that violates these terms.
9. Plans, limits and payment
Homlii has a free plan and paid plans (Plus and Family). Each plan's limits, such as homes, people at home, collections, helpers, monthly AI help and storage, are shown on the Homlii website and on the app's Plan & usage screen, and may change.
- Paid plans are bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown before you buy, and are also subject to Apple's or Google's terms.
- A plan belongs to your account and covers every home you own; those homes share its limits.
- Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel in your Apple ID or Google account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Unused AI help does not carry over to the next month.
- If you move to a plan with lower limits, you may need to reduce usage (for example, people or storage) before some features work again. We will not delete your content just because you changed plans.
We will give you reasonable notice before changing the price of a paid plan you are on.
10. Third-party services
Homlii relies on third-party services such as cloud storage, AI model providers, email delivery, push notification services, Apple and Google sign-in and the App Store and Google Play. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their own terms may apply.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Homlii at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing [email protected]. Home owners can remove people and helpers.
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for Homlii or others, or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to save your content.
Sections that by their nature should continue, such as content ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability, survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
Homlii is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI output will be accurate, that reminders will always arrive, or that content will never be lost. Keep your own copies of photos and anything else that matters to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Homlii will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the service.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Homlii in the 12 months before the claim and USD 50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Homlii changes. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Homlii after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using Homlii and you may delete your account.
